Hi and Welcome! I’m Melissa. I’m married to Nathan, and we have 5 lovely children (2+5=7…hence the 7 in our homestead name). We homeschool, homestead, and…thanks to the military, just recently MOVED from the home state, where we’ve always lived.

At the heart of our homestead is a commitment to live as closely as possible to the way we believe God intended. We strive to use the resources and materials He has provided, embracing a lifestyle that honors His creation. It's not always easy, but it's always worth it.

We have a homestead that is not picture perfect, but it’s perfect for us. We have built it and moved it with the military, creating what we jokingly refer to as a “pop-up” homestead. We want to help you learn that, no matter your circumstance, you can do this, too.
